2024 price increase

Unfortunately, due to inflationary trends, I have recently had to adjust pricing.

The last time I did an across the board price increase was around 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.  I streamlined pricing for painted flags based on a US inflation calculator shown on this page.  More detailed sets are further adjusted to reflect the additional production time involved.

Painted Flags Process - Serti Technique:

With few exceptions, each flag is painted individually.  Unlike tie-dyes that can be folded and tied together and dyed quickly, the painted sets are more process intensive.  I start with a flag sized layout.  The design is traced onto each piece of silk.  The silks are then stretched onto stretcher frames.  Resist is applied to each line on the silk.  Dye is then applied to the silk with a brush to create the colorful images.  Once dry, I steam set the silks in a professional fabric steamer for four hours, then wash out the excess dyes, sew in the weights and finish the edges of the flags.  

Each set of flags is composed of two unique paintings.  Even a simple design can take several hours of studio time to create.  Some of the intricate designs can take a couple of days to complete.
